My rates are generally in line with standard GVAA rates (you can check those out here), but several factors influence the final quote, including:

• Genre: Is it for a commercial, e-learning, animation, video game, etc.?

• Length: How long is the project, and what’s the duration of usage?

• Usage: Will it be used for traditional broadcast, digital broadcast, or non-broadcast?

• Paid vs. Unpaid: Is there a paid placement or is it unpaid?

I find the best way to arrive at the most cost-effective quote is to hop on a quick Zoom call to discuss the specifics of your project and your budget. This ensures we get the right balance for both of us.

Retakes (my mistakes) are included at no cost.

Revisions (changes made to the script after recording):

• Minor revisions of one or two words: $50

• Major revisions of more than two words: $100 minimum

• Re-Reads larger than 30% of the original script: Original rate

Performance Retakes for undirected sessions:

In an undirected session I record the files in my studio under my own direction and send them to you. If you need me to re-do lines from an undirected session, I’m happy to do one round of performance retakes at no cost. Please try to communicate any and all direction and/or change of direction at this time. After the first round of retakes, subsequent rounds are charged as Revisions, above.

If retakes are required for pronunciation preferences that were not specified either by a pronunciation guide or otherwise in writing, those retakes will be considered Revisions and are billable.

When sending a change request, please highlight a) the lines in the original script or b) list the full sentence to be re-recorded, the sentence before, and the sentence after for context. If applicable, please include the time index of the video so I can better match tone and pace.

Please submit all change requests within 30 days of receiving the original recording. After 30 days, any change requests will be charged the original rate(s).

All new clients and clients based outside of North America are billed upfront, unless we’ve agreed otherwise in advance.

For returning clients or those within North America, payment terms can be discussed based on the project scope and needs.

Payment can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, credit card, etc. If you have any specific billing preferences or questions, feel free to reach out!

Client expressly agrees not to use any portion of the recording or performance of Talent (Clay St. Thomas) for AI, synthetic voice creation, or machine learning purposes, unless explicitly stated in the original agreement.

• No AI Voice Simulation: The client agrees not to use the recordings to simulate Talent’s voice or likeness, or to create any AI-generated or "digital double" of Talent's voice.

• No Transfer of Recordings for AI Use: The client may not sell, transfer, or license the recordings to third parties for use in AI or synthetic voice applications without Talent’s knowledge and consent.

• No Unauthorized AI Contracts: The client agrees not to enter into agreements that involve Talent’s recordings for AI or other uses without Talent’s explicit approval.

• File Security: Any recordings stored digitally must be protected to prevent unauthorized access, including by third parties using AI technology. If stored in the cloud, encryption or other secure methods should be used to safeguard these files.

Specifically, Client shall not utilize any recording or performance of Talent to simulate Talent’s voice or likeness, or to create any synthesized or “digital double” voice or likeness of Talent.

Client specifically agrees not to sell or transfer ownership of all or part of any of the recordings or performance of Talent to any third party without Talent’s knowledge and consent.

Client agrees not to enter into any agreements or contracts on behalf of Talent which utilizes all or any part of any of the recordings or performance of Talent without Talent’s knowledge and consent.

Client agrees that any recordings or performances stored in digital format will be reasonably stored so that unauthorized third parties may not gain access to the files containing Talent’s voice or likeness, and if such files are stored in “the cloud” client agrees to safeguard same through encryption or other current technological means.
